Pilot in Command – Challenger 300
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Challenger 300 based in Santa Ana, CA. This Part 91 position, supporting a two-pilot operation with dedicated maintenance, requires less than 225 annual flight hours within the contiguous United States. Candidates must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the Santa Ana area.
Purpose of the Position:
The PIC assumes ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently providing exceptional service to passengers.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Manage all aspects of flight safety, including crew assignments, flight planning (performance, weight and balance), TPC briefings, and adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Act as Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections, discrepancy reporting, and coordination of ground servicing.
- Conduct passenger briefings, provide superior customer service, and address any special passenger needs.
- Proficient application of Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) techniques.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Proactively enhance the EJM service experience by identifying and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborate with fellow crew and EJM personnel to maintain consistent, high-quality service.
- Effectively resolve conflicts.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain all required regulatory and company training, ensuring currency and compliance with EJM’s Safety Management System (SMS).
- Proactively report safety concerns or non-compliance issues.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in corporate/business aviation.
- Residency, or willingness to relocate to, the Santa Ana area.
- FAA Type rating in the CL300 series (strongly preferred).
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation:
Base salary range: $150,000 - $200,000
