Pilot in Command - Challenger 300
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks an experienced and dedicated Pilot in Command (PIC) to join their team in Chicago, IL (MDW). This is a unique opportunity to operate a Challenger 300 aircraft on a two-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, with an average annual flight time of 200 hours under Part 91 and internal 135 regulations.
Position Highlights:

- Aircraft: Challenger 300
- Flight Operation: Primarily domestic with occasional international trips
- Account Type: Two-pilot account with dedicated Maintenance Technician support
- Residency: Position requires residing within driving distance of MDW airport
Responsibilities:
As PIC, you will maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency throughout all flight operations. This includes:
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all crew and trip assignments adhere to company and regulatory requirements. Meticulous pre-flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance assessments, and diligent adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are paramount.
- Risk Management: Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks through comprehensive Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefings. Maintaining constant vigilance and utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles during all phases of flight.
- Exceptional Service: Providing an unparalleled level of customer service to aircraft owners and passengers. This encompasses clear and informative passenger briefings, accommodating special needs, and proactively resolving any service deviations. You will collaborate with fellow crew members and internal teams to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all passengers.
- Professionalism: Maintaining all required regulatory and company training, including recency of experience requirements. Actively participating in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and reporting any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
- 4-6 years of experience as a pilot
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
