This role ensures the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo. The Co-Pilot maintains familiarity with Etihad’s Operations Manual, assists the Commander with administrative duties, supports crew discipline, and executes flight duties according to operating policies and procedures. The Co-Pilot confirms the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintains continuous checks on its geographical position, and provides advice and assistance to the Commander as needed. A high standard of personal discipline, conduct, and appearance is expected at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo.
- Maintain familiarity with Etihad’s Operations Manual.
- Assist the Commander with administrative duties.
- Support the maintenance of crew discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.
- Carry out flight duties as allocated by the Commander.
- Confirm safe navigation of the aircraft, ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
- Conduct the flight in compliance with the flight plan, SOPs, and the Commander’s instructions.
- Provide advice, information, and assistance to the Commander.
- Maintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance.
- Assume command in the event of Commander incapacitation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
- Minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with a FMS coupled to APFDS), or high-performance military jet.
- 500 hours and current on any Boeing aircraft.
- ICAO current and unrestricted ATPL (Frozen ATPL not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen).
- Experience flying any Airbus FBW within the last 12 months.
- Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical.
- Maximum age limit of 50 years old.
- English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or higher.
- For flight hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours shall be counted.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Fixed monthly pay of AED 26,000.
- Flight duty allowance:
- 1-6 years of service: AED 40 per block hour
- 7-10 years of service: AED 56 per block hour
- Meal allowance during layovers:
- Middle East/GCC/Sub Continent: AED 12 per hour
- Asia/Far East: AED 15 per hour
- Africa/Australasia: AED 18 per hour
- Europe/Americas: AED 23 per hour
- Housing allowance up to AED 160,000 per year.
- Education allowance of AED 40,000 for primary and AED 55,000 for secondary, for up to 3 children.
