easyJet is seeking highly experienced and professional Captains to join its Flight Operations team on a permanent contract. The successful candidates will be based at one of the following key UK locations: London Gatwick, Bristol, Birmingham, or Belfast. Initial Training Overview
Non-Type Rated Captains
Non-Type Rated Captains will complete a full A320 Type Rating with one of easyJet’s approved training organisations at the start of employment. The cost of the A320 Type Rating will be fully covered by easyJet.
All pilots, following Type Rating (if applicable), will complete a standard easyJet Operator Conversion Course (OCC) upon joining the airline.
Requirements of the Role
To ensure progression through the application process, candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Must have operated as a Commercial Passenger Captain on jet aircraft above 30 Tonnes MTOW within the last 12 months (at the point of application).
- Must possess a minimum of 4,000 total flying hours.
- Must hold a minimum of 1,000 total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours on jet aircraft above 30 Tonnes MTOW (to be achieved by easyJet induction date).
- Must hold a UK CAA Licence, or be willing and eligible to convert to a UK CAA Licence.
- Must hold a UK CAA Class 1 Medical certificate, or be willing and eligible to convert to a UK CAA Class 1 Medical certificate.
- Minimum ICAO Level 4 English proficiency.
- Must have the unrestricted legal right to live and work in the UK, with full access across the UK, EEA, and easyJet network.

The Selection Process and Application
Candidates will progress through a structured, multi-stage selection process:
- STAGE 1: Online Application
- STAGE 2: Online Assessments
- STAGE 3: Application Review
- STAGE 4: Assessment Centre – Successful candidates will be invited to an easyJet Assessment Centre, typically held in one of the Simulator Centres. This stage consists of both a Non-Technical assessment and a Technical (Simulator) assessment.
