Overview
Clyde Companies, a family-owned and operated administrative company based in Orem, Utah, seeks a full-time Corporate Pilot to join its team. The company supports various subsidiary organizations spanning the construction, building materials, and insurance industries across Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and Arizona, boasting a rich history of over 90 years in business.
The Position
This role provides Clyde Companies and its subsidiaries with flexible and convenient travel options, serving employees, customers, and clients primarily in the Intermountain West and Great Plains regions. The successful candidate will operate from the Provo Municipal Airport hangar location, ideally residing within an hour of the facility to ensure prompt response for flight assignments. Depending on qualifications, the position will be designated as either Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC).
Responsibilities
- Safely pilot company Bombardier Challenger 300/3500 aircraft on scheduled flights.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and local flight regulations.
- Collaborate with the corporate travel manager and travelers to coordinate scheduling and travel logistics.
- Proactively inform crew, travelers, and relevant personnel of itinerary changes prior to and during travel.
- Assist in the meticulous maintenance of all records (physical and electronic), including files, logbook entries, supporting data, and manuals. Ensure these are current, organized, signed off, and retained in accordance with Federal Aviation regulations.
- Contribute to the management and upkeep of the company plane, equipment, and hangar.
- Assist with the organization and management of pilot training, licenses, certifications, and related requirements.
- Participate in managing aircraft maintenance and inspection schedules.
- Demonstrate the ability to travel overnight and for multiple days as required.
Required Skills and Training
- Current Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with multi-engine land ratings.
- Experience as a captain with a FAR Part 91, 121, or 135 background.
- Demonstrated experience with the Bombardier Challenger 300 or similar aircraft.
- Currently qualified as a pilot-in-command in a multi-engine aircraft (preferred hours):
- 2,000 hours total flying time.
- 500 hours turbojet time.
- 1,000 hours pilot-in-command time.
Preferred Skills
- ATP certification.
- Automated cockpit electronic flight instrument system experience.
- Flight management system experience.
- No aircraft accidents or incidents within the past 5 years.
- No past or pending FAA violations within the preceding 5 years.
- Possession of a valid US passport.
- Current or ability to possess an FAA Class I Medical Certificate.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
