The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC is accountable for adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience for passengers.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Adherence to company and regulatory crewing and trip assignment standards.
- Completion of comprehensive flight planning, performance, and weight and balance calculations.
- Leadership in Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefings to mitigate operational risks.
- Strict compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and effective coordination with company personnel.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined in company policy.
- Thorough pre-flight inspection of the aircraft, including maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness.
- Accurate recording of all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Oversight of all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in line with SOPs.
- Conducting comprehensive passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations.
- Providing exceptional customer service and accommodating special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
- Effective communication with crew and support personnel utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) during all operational phases.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing top-tier service to owners and passengers while actively seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Proactive investigation and resolution of service deviations.
- Collaboration with crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience for owners and passengers.
- Addressing conflict and challenges in a professional and acceptable manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Adherence to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program.
- Reporting safety concerns or non-compliance issues through appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is highly preferred.
- FAA Type rating in CL300 is strongly preferred.
- International experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to fulfill all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours.
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours.
- PIC MEL: 500 hours.
- Instrument: 300 hours.
- Jet: 500 hours.
