Executive Jet Management (EJM), a NetJets subsidiary and pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Challenger 300 aircraft based in Fort Lauderdale (KFXE). This position offers a unique opportunity to join a small, dedicated team operating under Part 91 and 135 regulations for a discerning and aviation-enthusiastic client. The successful candidate will directly report to the aircraft owner.
The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Challenger 300. This includes adherence to all company and regulatory requirements, while delivering an exceptional service experience to the aircraft owner and passengers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to safety and a commitment to partnering with the owner in the stewardship of the aircraft.
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations: The PIC will manage all aspects of flight operations, including compliant crewing and trip assignments, meticulous flight planning (including performance calculations and weight and balance), and proactive risk mitigation through the application of Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology. This role requires strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordination with company personnel, and acting as the Grounds and In-Flight Security Coordinator as per company policy. The PIC will perform comprehensive pre-flight checks, accurately record aircraft discrepancies, and ensure all ground servicing requirements (fueling, oil, oxygen) are met according to SOPs. Passenger briefings, delivered with exceptional customer service and sensitivity to individual needs (including those with physical challenges), are also a key component of this role. The PIC will leverage Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for effective communication with crew and support personnel across all operational scenarios.
Delivering Exceptional Service: The PIC will actively contribute to providing a superior service experience for the owner and passengers. This includes identifying and resolving service deviations, collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and EJM partners to ensure consistent service delivery, and resolving conflicts professionally and efficiently.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance: The PIC will maintain all necessary regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience, ensuring full compliance with the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) program, and promptly reporting any safety concerns or instances of non-compliance.
The expected salary range for this role is $225,000 - $250,000, with final compensation dependent upon experience and type rating. The owner provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan. The position offers a two-week-on, one-week-off schedule, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Based in the desirable location of South Florida, this role enjoys excellent weather and the benefit of no state income tax.
