Delivery Pilot Intern – Cirrus Aircraft

Job Overview:
The Delivery Pilot Intern will provide essential support to the Delivery Operations team, contributing to daily operations and interacting directly with Cirrus Aircraft customers. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: aircraft delivery record maintenance, scheduling coordination, delivery preparation, aircraft presentation, and conducting delivery flights. The intern will also contribute to ancillary duties such as aircraft detailing, safety management, line service activities, flight planning, and process improvement initiatives. This role may involve acting as Pilot in Command for Cirrus aircraft under 14 CFR Part 91 operations (demonstration, repositioning, and post-maintenance flights).
Responsibilities:
- Adherence to all Cirrus and industry safety procedures and policies.
- Provision of exceptional customer service.
- Collaborative teamwork with dedicated professionals.
- Administrative support within the Delivery Operations department.
- Development of crucial skills including analytical thinking, teamwork, strategic planning, pressure management, and effective communication.
- Accurate and timely decision-making regarding flight safety.
- Meticulous record-keeping of training activities.
- Pilot-in-command duties for corporate, ferry, training, and demonstration flights.
- Execution of pre- and post-flight inspections, including cleaning, fueling, and maintenance-related tasks.
- Management of travel expenses according to company policy.
- Continuous learning and familiarity with Cirrus Aircraft products.
- Proactive identification of areas for improvement and escalation of concerns as needed.
- Development of effective safety communication, recordkeeping, ramp operations, and fleet management techniques.
- Performance of other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a college degree in aviation or professional pilot studies.
- Active FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating.
- Valid FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 200 hours as Pilot in Command.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Instrument flight experience in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight experience, and night flying.
- Active Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument Rating.
