Avionics Technician
Textron Aviation is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join its Service Center team. This role is primarily responsible for the functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex avionics systems onboard aircraft.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive functional testing to accurately isolate customer reported issues within various aircraft avionics systems.
- Execute repairs and system adjustments in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, technical data, and company procedures.
- Analyze in-flight data and evaluate information received from customers to effectively diagnose system malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot complex problems to identify root causes, including defective components or wiring discrepancies.
- Replace faulty units, repair wiring issues, and perform necessary aircraft modifications as required.
- Conduct in-flight functional testing of repaired or aligned systems, accompanying pilots when necessary to ensure proper operation.
- Utilize aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, technical orders, and both written and oral instructions to efficiently perform job duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting and repair is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge as required by local authorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of college, technical school, or military electronics training is preferred.
- An Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) certification is highly preferred.
