Pilot Trainer Developer

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, a leader in designing advanced air vehicles, is seeking a skilled and motivated Pilot Trainer Developer to join its team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role supports the development of training requirements and the implementation of courseware for Aircrew/Mission Planner functions, including the creation and utilization of simulation and scenarios for customer training. Responsibilities:

The Pilot Trainer Developer is responsible for designing and delivering highly creative training courses for both existing and new systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and providing innovative training courses for current and future aircraft systems.
  • Delivering training to customer personnel at various domestic and international locations.
  • Offering Pilot and Combat Systems Operator expertise to brief and train test pilots, production pilots, and systems engineers on Aircraft and Ground Systems capabilities and operations.
  • Collaborating effectively with pilots, engineers, and simulation technicians to design, implement, evaluate, and document training materials and technical publications.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will possess experience in utilizing technology-based multimedia applications, applying innovative concepts, methodologies, and technical skills. This includes using multiple media tools for courseware development, incorporating graphic design trends, software development, and training techniques. Experience implementing instructional design trends into training aids such as flight simulators and various part task training devices is also required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Prior experience as a military Instructor Pilot or Combat/Weapons Systems Operator.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing, planning, and facilitating training programs.
  • Experience instructing mission planning, execution, debriefing, communications, and ground control element operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance as required by business needs.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience as a Formal Training Unit, Weapons School instructor, or in Operational Test roles.
  • Experience translating a wide application of tactical aviation technical principles, theories, and concepts into training operations.
  • Understanding and application of aviation maintenance training and safety programs and policies.
  • Familiarity with nascent training technologies and applications.
  • Possession of a Top Secret Clearance.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen and to hold a government security clearance. An active Secret clearance with a Background Investigation conducted within the last five years is required to commence employment. The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance is also necessary.

Travel:

This position requires up to 20% travel.
