Position Overview
The C-130 Flight Operations team is seeking a dedicated C-130 Production and Training Pilot to operate out of the Marietta, Georgia facility. This pivotal role involves conducting acceptance check flights for newly assembled C-130J aircraft and managing flight tests for modified aircraft. The successful candidate will serve as a critical link in ensuring the capabilities and safety of aircraft produced at the plant, overseeing the transition of new technology from production to operational readiness.
Primary Responsibilities

Conduct production acceptance, functional check, and engineering test flights on new or modified C-130 aircraft.

Pilot AMMM aircraft for delivery, ferry flights, and airshow demonstrations.

Perform demonstration flights for customers, government officials, and media representatives to showcase performance and system capabilities.

Provide expert pilot input to flight test, production, engineering, training, customer support, and business development teams.

Define requirements and develop Statements of Work (SOW) for aircraft production acceptance, training, and engineering design support.

Develop and review comprehensive ground and flight test plans.

Lead Safety Reviews, First Flight Readiness Reviews, and Design Reviews.

Review, validate, verify, and update aircraft flight manuals.

Deliver classroom, simulator, and flight instruction for company and customer aircrews.
Basic Qualifications
-
Minimum of 2,000 hours Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time in multiengine aircraft.

Minimum of 200 hours PIC during engineering or acceptance flights in multiengine transport-type aircraft.

FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.

Current or former qualification as a military Instructor Pilot.

Current FAA Second Class or First Class medical certificate, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Active Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Desired Skills and Experience
-
Active Top Secret Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) — Airplane Multi-engine Land.
-
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) — Airplane Multi-engine and/or Instrument Airplane.

Over 300 hours of PIC time in transport-type aircraft.

Current and qualified C-130J Instructor Pilot or Flight Examiner.

Extensive instructor experience including courseware development, platform instruction, and simulator training.

Proficiency in writing and reviewing technical publications.
-
Familiarity with AFI 10-220 / DCMA INST 8210-1 and contract flight operations.

Experience with C-130J Tactical Operations and/or Special Operations.

Current or previous qualification to conduct C-130 Functional or Acceptance Check Flight (FCF/ACF) operations.

Experience with legacy C-130 models, such as the C-130H or KC-130T.

Graduate of a weapons school, tactics school, safety school, or advanced instrument school.

Current passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 30 days.
-
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Additional Information
This position is designated as a part-time role and offers a flexible work schedule, including remote telework opportunities for portions of the schedule. The selected candidate will be part of the Aeronautics Company business unit within the Test Engineering career area. Relocation assistance may be available for this position.
