Weekend On-Call Pilot

Joe Morten & Son, Inc. is seeking a skilled and professional Weekend On-Call Pilot to support its corporate flight operations serving the Sioux City, Iowa area. Operating its aviation department with the business philosophy, "The Difference is Service®," the company emphasizes providing a high level of service to all passengers. This position offers a flexible on-call schedule, primarily covering 1 to 2 weekends per month, typically from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening, and provides an opportunity to contribute to a reputable flight operation dedicated to safety and exceptional passenger care.

The aviation department operates a CJ1+ aircraft with a two-pilot crew, transporting company staff, including claims adjusters, underwriters, and risk control representatives. The Weekend On-Call Pilot plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective air transportation while fostering a pleasant on-board environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide availability on-call to cover designated weekend periods.
• Ensure the safe and effective operation of company aircraft for authorized personnel transportation.
• Support the Captain in essential flight duties, including determining and filing flight plans, conducting thorough pre- and post-flight inspections, and securing necessary supplies for trips.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and appropriately stocked passenger compartment.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 750 hours total flight time.
• Minimum of 250 hours of multi-engine experience.
• Possession of a Commercial Pilot License.
• Possession of a Multi-Engine Rating.
• Possession of an Instrument Rating.
• Hold a current Class 2 Flight Physical.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior jet turbine experience is preferred.
