Instructor Pilot (United States)

Aviation professionals are invited to apply for the position of Instructor Pilot within our US operations. This individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality flight training in both flight simulator and ground school settings. Instruction will adhere to all relevant regulatory agency guidelines, CAE-approved curriculum, and customer-specific requirements. The Instructor Pilot will act as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through their training programs. Career progression includes the opportunity to become a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 1.5 years, based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides simulator, flight, or classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types, covering areas such as license issuance, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
  • Conducts thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings, adhering to CAE standards.
  • Completes all required administrative duties, including maintaining training records, recommending remedial training as necessary, and tracking personal instructional qualifications and activity.
  • Contributes as a subject matter expert in the creation of curricula and courseware, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold or meet the qualifications to receive an unrestricted ATP certificate and possess at least one unrestricted PIC Type Rating.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching through strong communication skills.
  • Possesses basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs.
  • Must participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.
  • Experience flying business aircraft is considered advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must possess the physical dexterity necessary for tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Must be able to sit comfortably in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time, with limited breaks.
  • Must be capable of standing for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
  • Must be able to perform physical actions, including sitting, stooping, climbing, twisting, and turning.
