Instructor Pilot – Global 7500

CAE, a global leader in civil aviation training, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Instructor Pilot to join our Las Vegas team. This pivotal role involves delivering comprehensive flight training in a state-of-the-art flight simulator and classroom setting, adhering to all applicable regulatory standards and CAE’s established curriculum. After a minimum of 18 months, based on operational needs, successful candidates will be expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and participate as a customer contract check airman.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver simulator and classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types, facilitating the issuance of licenses, type ratings, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
• Conduct thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings, adhering to CAE’s established standards.
• Maintain accurate training records, recommend necessary remedial training, and track personal instructional qualifications and activities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in curriculum and courseware development as required.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience as a pilot.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Authorization to work and reside in the United States.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and internet-based programs.
• Participation in CAE’s DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program is mandatory.
• Existing instructor qualification or type rating is highly preferred.
• Holds, or has held, a professional pilot's license.
• Preferred: FAR Part 135 experience, 3,000+ total flight hours, unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, and at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.
• For internal candidates: current good standing and TCE qualification on the Global 7500 or another platform is ideal.

Physical Demands:

The role requires physical dexterity for tasks demanding hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Prolonged periods of sitting (up to 6 hours), standing (up to 10 hours), and the ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn are essential.
