Instructor Pilot
CAE x SIMCOM seeks a qualified Instructor Pilot to deliver exceptional ground school and simulator training. This individual will adhere to CAE x SIMCOM's established standards and policies while providing Initial, Recurrent, and specialty training courses to valued clients. The ideal candidate focuses on customer progress and performance through a tailored approach to training, encompassing lesson planning, classroom and simulator preparation, and maintenance of current publications and training materials. Occasional travel may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Instructor Pilot will provide standardized classroom and simulator training (unless aircraft-specific) for:
- Captain Upgrades
- Initial/Recurrent Training
- PIC/SIC Evaluations
- Differences Training
- Remedial Training
Responsibilities include:
- Enforcing company standards by consistently teaching and requiring adherence to established standards of service and safety.
- Employing strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication, listening, and presentation skills to effectively convey required subjects and provide constructive feedback.
- Possessing the ability to accurately and impartially evaluate pilot performance.
- Conducting ground and simulator training for Customers at SIMCOM.
- Maintaining accurate records, completing necessary paperwork, and submitting required documents in a timely manner.
- Evaluating customer progress in acquiring skills and knowledge according to SIMCOM standards.
- Serving as a liaison between customers and training center management.
- If authorized as a TCE for CAE x SIMCOM, conducting Proficiency Checks and Certification Checks as authorized under FAR 135/142.
- Assisting in defining customer training requirements through participation in training conferences and meetings.
- Maintaining competency and qualifications to instruct.
- Upholding a high level of professionalism.
- Performing other related duties and assignments as required.
Education & Experience:
- Must meet Part 135 requirements.
- ATP required.
- Successful candidate will possess above-average knowledge of: Applicable Regulations, Flight Operations Manuals, Operations Specifications, Crewmember Standard Operating Procedures, Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Performance, and Company Policies and Procedures.
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent fluency in English, both verbally and in writing, including the ability to speak, understand, read, and write effectively.
- Exceptional listening and presentation skills to meet and exceed customer expectations during the training process.
- General knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. MS Access database knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support cultural diversity.
- Customer service oriented.
Physical Environment/Working Conditions:
The position involves a dual environment setting, encompassing both office and simulator environments. Light lifting up to 30 lbs may be required. The role may also require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
