Pilot in Command - Phenom 300
Full-Time – BTV (East Coast Home-Based)
Jet Linx is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for their Light Jet aircraft fleet, specifically operating the Phenom 300. This full-time position is based in BTV, requiring the candidate to reside within the US Eastern time zone with direct commuting capability to BTV and other key operational markets. The PIC plays a critical role in conducting safe and efficient Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command is responsible for preparing and executing all flights in adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations and stringent company procedures. The PIC ensures the highest standards of safety and efficiency throughout all phases of flight operations.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified candidates for the Pilot in Command position must meet the following minimum flight time requirements:
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total PIC: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type: 250 hours (Phenom 300)
- Total PIC Time in Type: 250 hours (Phenom 300)
- Total Multi-Engine: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 500 hours
- Total Instrument: 300 hours
Essential Functions
The core responsibilities of the Pilot in Command include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively managing duty, flight, and rest periods in compliance with company policies and federal regulations (CFRs).
- Maintaining consistent and clear communication with the company regarding standby duty, trip assignments, position updates, and flight reporting.
- Managing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and ensuring required applications are current and functional.
- Ensuring the currency of all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Holding and maintaining a valid 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrating robust and proactive decision-making capabilities during all flight operations.
- Upholding Jet Linx's core values in all professional interactions.
Other Requirements & Preferences
- Initial or Recurrent Part 142 training in the Phenom 300 type within the last 24 months is strongly preferred.
- Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Requires a current passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Must hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or have the ability to obtain one.
- Must hold a current 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Requires an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
- The role primarily involves work in and around aircraft and aviation terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for this Pilot in Command position. The starting base annual salary ranges from $140,000 to $182,500, with the final compensation determined by factors such as geographic location, aircraft size, relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
