Compensation and Benefits
Successful candidates can expect a starting salary of £114,000, plus allowances circa £25,150 (based on 800 flying hours per year). Annual incremental pay uplifts are provided on a 15-point pay scale, effective from May 1, 2025.

British Airways Master Seniority List
The BA master seniority list is applicable to all British Airways pilots. Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Hold a current UK issued CAA Flight Crew Licence (ATPL (A), fATPL (A), MPL) OR hold an EASA licence and satisfy the "Third Country CPL and ATPL licence conversion requirements" specified by the UK CAA (routes 3, 4, 5 or 6).
- Possess a minimum of 3500 hours total time on a CS25 aircraft.
- Possess a minimum of 1000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on a CS25 aircraft.
- Hold the right to live and work in the UK or possess the ability to secure a Right to Work visa.
- Height must be between 1.57m (5’2”) and 1.91m (6’3”). Pilots exceeding 1.91m may apply but will be subject to a functionality check to verify their ability to meet seating position requirements within the BA Euroflyer fleet.
- Maintain a good level of physical fitness.
- Demonstrate spoken and written English proficiency at ICAO level 6.
- Hold a valid passport with a minimum of 12 months validity from the prospective contract start date.
- Hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate with a minimum of 6 months validity from the prospective contract start date.
Pilots currently holding an EASA licence who previously held a UK Part-FCL licence are requested to provide a copy of their former UK licence or proof of completing training in the UK and being awarded a UK licence in the supporting files section of their application.
Application Process Notes
- Candidates who were unsuccessful at the initial screening, video interview, capacity testing, or assessment centre stages are eligible to reapply for the pilot recruitment campaign after a 6-month period from their most recent assessment date.
- Candidates who were unsuccessful at the simulator (SIM) stage must observe a 12-month waiting period before reapplying for the pilot recruitment campaign.
- Candidates are permitted to apply to only one airline within the British Airways family (British Airways, Euroflyer, or Cityflyer) concurrently. Unsuccessful candidates in one campaign will be ineligible to reapply to any of the three airlines within the British Airways family until the specified re-apply period has elapsed.
- Suitability for long-haul operations will be assessed during the simulator evaluation. It should be noted that there are a limited number of long-haul positions available, and the A320 fleet remains the primary focus for recruitment.
- Successful candidates will be placed into a hold pool. Candidates in the hold pool will receive a maximum of two job offers. Should a candidate decline their second job offer, they will be removed from the hold pool and will be required to reapply after 12 months, undertaking the entire selection process again.
