Based in Sussex, the flying program is designed for pilots to return to their London Gatwick home base each evening. Flight crew benefit from a bidding system based on a truly fixed pattern roster, promoting a genuine lifestyle balance. Additionally, a popular swap function allows for easy exchange of duties with colleagues.

- Starting salary of £114,000 plus allowances circa £25,150 (based on 800 flying hours per year), with annual incremental pay uplifts on a 15-point pay scale (as of 1st May 2025).

Requirements
- Holds a current UK issued CAA Flight Crew Licence (ATPL(A), fATPL(A), MPL) or holds an EASA licence and meets the "Third Country CPL and ATPL licence conversion requirements" set out by the UK CAA (route 3, 4, 5 or 6). Pilots who currently hold an EASA licence and previously held a UK Part-FCL licence should provide proof.
- Minimum of 3500 hours total time on a CS25 aircraft.
- Minimum of 1000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on a CS25 aircraft.
- Possesses the right to live and work in the UK or the ability to hold a Right to Work visa.
- Height between 1.57m (5’2”) and 1.91m (6’3”). Pilots taller than 1.91m may apply but must undergo a functionality check to confirm their ability to meet seating position requirements in the BA Euroflyer fleet.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Spoken and written English to ICAO level 6.
- Holds a valid passport with a minimum of 12 months validity before expiry date.
- Holds a valid class one medical with a minimum of 6 months validity from contract start.
Important Notes
- Candidates unsuccessful at initial screening, video interview, capacity testing, or assessment centre must wait 6 months before reapplying for the pilot recruitment campaign. Candidates unsuccessful at the SIM stage must wait 12 months.
- Applicants may only apply to one airline within the British Airways family (British Airways, Euroflyer, or Cityflyer) at a time. Failure in one campaign prohibits reapplication to any of the three airlines until the specified reapplication period has elapsed.
- Long-haul suitability will be assessed during the simulator assessment. A limited number of long-haul positions are available; the A320 remains the primary recruiting fleet.
- Successful candidates will enter a hold pool and may receive a maximum of 2 job offers. Declining a second job offer results in exiting the hold pool, requiring reapplication after 12 months and completion of the entire selection process.
