G550 Captain (Hong Kong Based)
Our Flight Services team in Hong Kong is currently seeking to reinforce its ranks by recruiting a G550 Captain. This presents an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced aviation professional.
The Opportunity:
The G550 Captain will step into a pivotal role, leading aircraft operations with utmost precision and ensuring the highest standards of safety and service. As a valued member of an elite team, the Captain will operate the G550 fleet, dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for clients while remaining at the forefront of flight safety and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Director of Flight Operations, the Captain will be instrumental in delivering world-class aviation services.
Key Responsibilities:
The G550 Captain is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of all flights. Key tasks include:
- Ensuring the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard.
- Complying with all operational procedures and checklists as per the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Ensuring all crew members occupy their designated stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
- Prohibiting crew members from performing activities during critical flight phases (take-off, initial climb, final approach, landing) unless required for safe aircraft operation.
- Ensuring flight data and cockpit voice recorders are not disabled or erased, except when necessary to preserve data for incident/accident investigation that would otherwise be automatically erased.
- Coordinating work distribution within the flight crew to maximize airmanship for flight conduct.
- Ensuring precise navigation and strict observation of minimum altitudes.
- Observing limitations of all aircraft systems and ensuring proper aircraft use and handling.
- Enforcing the strict use of checklists.
- Ensuring sufficient usable fuel remains to proceed to a safe landing airport with final reserve fuel.
- Maintaining close liaison with the cabin crew to ensure adherence to cabin safety requirements.
- Ensuring flight and technical logs are accurately completed.
- Filing written occurrence and accident reports when necessary.
- Maintaining familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, the company operations manual (JBJH/JBJS), and agreed aviation practices.
- Upholding a high standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a company representative.
- Complying with regulations outlined in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Ensuring all passengers receive a briefing on the location of emergency exits and the location and use of relevant safety and emergency equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates are sought who possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a type rating for the G550 (FAA, UK, or EASA).
- A minimum of 3,000 total flight hours, including at least 500 hours on the G550 or similar jet aircraft.
- Experience serving as a Captain on a business jet is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, aviation regulations, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in international flying and operations in adverse weather conditions.
