BA Cityflyer - Direct Entry Captain
BA Cityflyer is currently undergoing a significant phase of development, focused on building a better airline. While proud of its heritage, the company is forward-looking, embodying the best qualities of modern Britain: creativity, diversity, style, wit, and warmth. A Captain joining BA Cityflyer becomes part of this journey and contributes to the next chapter of the airline's story.
For BA Cityflyer Captains, the passenger experience is paramount. The primary objective is to deliver an exceptional flight service, bringing business and leisure customers into the heart of London.
As the leading airline operating from London City Airport (LCY), BA Cityflyer serves a diverse network of destinations across Europe and the UK. Captains are expected to work flexibly within a cohesive team to support a dynamic seven-day-a-week operation. This involves operating business, charter, and leisure flights on varied rosters that include day trips, night stops, and tours.
Operating the Embraer 190 aircraft, primarily from London City Airport, presents a unique challenge. Serving a sophisticated customer base from one of the world's most demanding operating environments requires pilots to maintain the highest professional standards at all times. The airline seeks high-calibre pilots who possess the drive to provide industry-defining standards of customer service in this challenging yet rewarding setting.
Captains also have opportunities for career advancement within BA Cityflyer, potentially progressing into roles such as Line Trainer, Type Rating Instructor (TRI), Type Rating Examiner (TRE), or contributing to talent acquisition as a Pilot Recruiter.
BA Cityflyer offers a comprehensive package of leading industry benefits.
