Purpose
The Flight Crew Support Specialist is essential to the smooth operation of Avelo Airlines. This role is responsible for developing and managing flight crew schedules in strict accordance with safety regulations and operational requirements.
Responsibilities

Develop and maintain flight crew schedules in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 117 and 121, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements.

Analyze flight operations and crew duty times to ensure adherence to legal rest requirements, including Flight Duty Periods (FDPs), and mitigate scheduling conflicts.

Manage schedule disruptions caused by weather, maintenance, or staffing absences, including coordinating reserve crew, transportation, and lodging.

Communicate effectively with flight crews regarding schedules, updates, and operational changes.

Utilize specialized scheduling software to manage assignments, track duty times, and monitor regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and personnel departments to ensure seamless flight operations.

Maintain precise records of crew schedules, duty hours, and certifications.
Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in airline operations or a related field.

Comprehensive knowledge of FAR Parts 117 and 121, including FDPs, rest requirements, and fatigue risk management.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and aviation scheduling software.

Must be a U.S. citizen or possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications (X-Factors)

Familiarity with NAVBLUE or similar flight crew management systems.

Prior experience in Flight Attendant or Airport Operations roles.
Compensation
Salary: $22 per hour.
