Captain - Boeing 737 (Gatwick, UK)

Ascend Airways, a newly established airline operating under a UK AOC, is embarking on an exciting journey. Backed by the legacy of Synergy Aviation and the global strength of Avia Solutions Group, the world's largest ACMI provider, Ascend Airways will operate a fleet of Boeing 737 NG and MAX aircraft in the ACMI market.

The airline is currently seeking experienced Captains to join its team at its first operational base in London Gatwick, commencing in early 2024. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new airline from its inception and contribute significantly to its growth trajectory. Position Overview:

The Captain will report to the Director of Flight Operations and play a pivotal role in the daily operations of the airline. The position will be based at London Gatwick and will involve some night stops. While the summer months are expected to be busy, the winter schedule anticipates quieter rosters, allowing pilots to take additional time off during this period.

Candidate Profile:

Unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom
Class One medical certificate without restrictions (other than for spectacles/contact lenses)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to maintain a home address within 90 minutes travelling time of London Gatwick
Boeing 737 type rating (current or expired by no more than two years)
A minimum of 3,000 hours total time
A minimum of 500 hours in command of Boeing 737 aircraft

Preference will be given to candidates holding a UK ATPL and medical. Applications are also welcomed from EASA ATPL Captains, with the understanding that successful candidates will need to convert their license to a UK equivalent prior to joining (Ascend Airways will provide assistance with this process).
