Role Overview
The Direct Entry Captain holds paramount responsibility for the safety, security, and efficient operation of the aircraft, its crew, and passengers from arrival at the aircraft until engine shut down post-flight. The Captain's leadership, technical proficiency, and sound judgment are integral to ensuring every flight adheres strictly to regulatory requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing all aspects of aircraft operation during flight phases.
- Making critical and timely decisions during both normal and non-normal operational scenarios.
- Leading and supporting the flight crew, establishing and maintaining the highest professional standards onboard.
- Ensuring adherence to all standard operating procedures and adapting them safely as operational circumstances require.
- Setting a leading example in effective communication, professional conduct, and promoting a robust safety culture.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes
Loganair seeks Captains demonstrating strong technical capability, excellent communication skills, and a professional approach to leadership and crew collaboration.
Essential:
- An in-depth understanding of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and flight operations.
- The ability to remain composed under pressure and make timely, sound decisions.
- Proven leadership and teamwork capabilities.
- The legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- A full UK CAA ATPL and a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Current or recent operational experience in command of a multi-crew aircraft (MTOW >10 tonnes or 19+ passengers).
Desirable:
- A valid ERJ 145 Type Rating.

Salary Range: £72,425 - £89,210 per annum (Basic Salary)
