Role Overview
The Direct Entry Captain is responsible for the complete safety, security, and operation of the aircraft, crew, and passengers from the moment of arrival until engine shutdown post-flight. The Captain's leadership and sound judgment are paramount in ensuring that every flight operates safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to all regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Captain is entrusted with:
- Overseeing all aspects of aircraft operation during flight phases.
- Making critical and timely decisions during both normal and non-normal operational scenarios.
- Providing leadership and support to the flight crew, maintaining a high standard of professionalism onboard.
- Ensuring all standard operating procedures are diligently followed and safely adapted as operational requirements dictate.
- Setting a positive example through exemplary communication, unwavering professionalism, and a robust commitment to the safety culture.

Training and Experience
- Hold a full UK CAA ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence).
- Possess a current UK CAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Currently or recently hold command responsibility on a multi-crew aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 10 tonnes or certified for 19 or more passengers.
Desirable:
- Hold a valid ERJ 145 Type Rating.
