Pilot / First Officer Opportunity - Isles of Scilly Skybus
Isles of Scilly Skybus, a vital air operator providing essential services to the beautiful Isles of Scilly, is actively seeking highly dedicated and qualified Pilots to augment its professional flight crew. Essential Pilot Requirements
Prospective candidates must demonstrably meet the following core criteria:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 1500 hours.
- Multi-Engine Flight Time: At least 500 hours accumulated in multi-engine aircraft.
- License Requirement: Possession of a current UK CAA Frozen ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
- Ratings: Valid Instrument Rating (IR), Multi-Engine (ME) rating, a Multi-Crew Co-operation (MCC) certificate, and Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT).
- Medical Certificate: A valid UK CAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency: ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or higher.
- Right to Work in the UK: An unrestricted legal right to live and work within the United Kingdom is mandatory. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
- Security Clearance: The ability to supply comprehensive employer references for the last five years is essential to facilitate the application for an airside security pass.
Highly Desirable Qualifications and Experience
While not strictly mandatory, candidates possessing the following qualifications or experience will be highly regarded:
- Type Rating: A current or previous DHC6 Twin Otter type rating.
(Comprehensive DHC6 Twin Otter type rating training will be provided to the successful candidate, offering a superb development opportunity for qualified pilots.)
- Aircraft Experience:
- Significant flight experience in turboprop aircraft.
- Proven proficiency in light multi-engine aircraft types such as King Air, Shorts Skyvan, Islander, or Trislander.
- Previous flight experience in tailwheel aircraft, gliding, or similar aviation disciplines.
- Operational Background: Demonstrated experience within regional airlines, small operators, island communities, freight operations, medivac services, or comparable challenging operational environments.
