Role Overview
As a BA Cityflyer Captain, the primary objective is to deliver a premium flight experience, prioritizing customer satisfaction while operating flights to and from the heart of London. This role requires a flexible approach to a dynamic, seven-day-a-week operation, encompassing business, charter, and leisure flights. Successful candidates will manage a varied roster that includes day trips, night stops, and tours.
Operating the Embraer 190 into London City Airport requires exceptional professional standards due to the complex nature of the operating environment. Pilots are expected to maintain the highest levels of service and safety in this demanding, yet rewarding, role.
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Captain at BA Cityflyer, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:

Current UK CAA Part-FCL ATPL (A) licence or the ability to convert via the CAA EASA transfer process (route 5 or 6).

Minimum of 4,000 total flight hours.

Minimum of 1,500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on a commercial jet or turbo-prop multi-crew aircraft with an MTOW of 20,000kg or greater (excludes PICUS hours).

Current type rating.

ICAO English language proficiency Level 6.

Valid Multi-Engine (ME) Instrument Rating.

Valid Class 1 Medical (must be valid for at least 6 months post-joining).

Desirable: E-Jet type rating and current experience operating as a Captain.

Application Process
Applicants must provide a copy of their licence, Class 1 Medical, and the last three pages of their logbook. Please note that flight hours and ratings will be verified during the screening and assessment phases.

Re-application periods apply for unsuccessful candidates: 6 months for those unsuccessful at initial screening, video interview, capacity testing, or assessment centre; 12 months for those unsuccessful at the simulator stage.
