Role Overview
Loganair is seeking experienced and dedicated Direct Entry Captains to join its operations across all bases and fleets. Key Responsibilities
The Captain holds full responsibility for the safety, security, and operation of the aircraft, its crew, and passengers, from the moment of arrival at the aircraft until engines are shut down post-flight. The Captain's leadership and sound judgment are crucial in ensuring every journey is conducted safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to both regulatory requirements and company standards.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all aspects of aircraft operation during flight.
- Making critical decisions during both normal and non-normal operations.
- Leading and providing support to the flight crew, establishing a high professional standard onboard.
- Ensuring all operational procedures are strictly followed and safely adapted as required.
- Setting a clear example in communication, professionalism, and fostering a strong safety culture.
Qualifications and Experience
Loganair seeks Captains possessing strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and a professional approach to leadership and crew collaboration.

- Legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom.

Training and Experience Requirements:
- Possession of a full UK CAA ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence).
- Holding a current UK CAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Currently or recently operating in command on a multi-crew aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 10 tonnes or certified for 19 or more passengers.
Desirable:
- A valid Type Rating for the Embraer ERJ 145 or ATR 42/72 aircraft types.

- Basic Salary: £72,425 – £89,210 per annum.
