Direct Entry Captain
Overview
Loganair is seeking experienced and dedicated Direct Entry Captains to join its operations across various bases and fleets. Role Responsibilities
As a Direct Entry Captain, the incumbent holds full responsibility for the safety, security, and efficient operation of the aircraft, its crew, and passengers. This accountability extends from the moment of arrival at the aircraft until engine shut down post-flight. The Captain's leadership and judgment are paramount in ensuring every journey is conducted safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to both regulatory and company standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all aspects of aircraft operation during flight phases.
- Making critical and timely decisions during both normal and non-normal operations.
- Providing leadership and support to the flight crew, setting a professional standard on board.
- Ensuring all operational procedures are followed and adapted safely when circumstances require.
- Setting a leading example in communication, professionalism, and fostering a strong safety culture.

Training and Experience Requirements
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Hold a full ATPL (UK CAA) with a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Currently or have recently operated in command on a multi-crew aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 10 tonnes or a passenger capacity of 19 or more.
- Desirable: Possess a valid ERJ 145 or ATR 42/72 Type Rating.

Starting Salary: £72,425.00
