About the Position:
Reporting to the Director of Training or assigned Program Manager, the Air Transport Flight Instructor will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of Ameriflight pilots. Responsibilities encompass a blend of instructional leadership and curriculum development:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive ground, simulator, and flight training for new hire, transitioning, and upgrading pilots.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop, refine, and enhance syllabi, lesson plans, and courseware, ensuring training materials remain current and impactful.
- Cultivate a positive and supportive learning environment within the training department, fostering individual growth and promoting collaborative success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- FAR 135 IFR Captain minimums preferred; qualified candidates with less experience may be considered and will receive training and checking in the BE99 as a CFR Part 91 Flight Instructor.
- Commercial Pilot License (multi-engine land) with instrument rating, high performance, and complex endorsements.
- Certified Flight Instructor Airplane (CFII) and MEI certifications are mandatory. Recent instrument and multi-engine flight training experience is highly desirable.
- Turbo-prop experience is advantageous.
- First Class or Second Class Medical Certificate.
- Meet all airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check.
- Valid driver's license and compliance with company insurance criteria.
- Current passport.
- English proficiency.
- Willingness to travel.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. and travel unrestricted within and outside the country.
