Key Responsibilities
The Aviation Captain will be entrusted with a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Operating Beechcraft 1900 aircraft in strict adherence to all applicable federal aviation regulations (FARs) and corporate policies and procedures.
- Prioritizing safety protocols and delivering unparalleled customer service throughout all flight operations.
- Engaging in professional and clear communication for complex internal and external aircraft-related interactions.
- Executing flights proficiently across diverse conditions, encompassing day, night, and all weather scenarios.
- Ensuring meticulous pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures are followed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
- Eligibility to meet all Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 135 pilot requirements.
- Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive training program, demonstrating full proficiency with all job requirements.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding the English language.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 70 lbs of cargo to shoulder height on a regular basis.
- Ability to repeatedly bend and squat, consistently practicing safe lifting methods.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test, background check, and acquisition of U.S. Postal clearance.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a proven residency in the U.S. for 4.5 of the past 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 1200 hours of total flight time, specifically with Beechcraft 1900 (BE1900) experience.
- Current Multi-Engine (ME), Instrument, and Commercial pilot ratings.
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
Working Conditions
This position operates in a dynamic aviation environment. While performing duties, the Aviation Captain may frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts, aviation fumes, various toxic chemicals, and heat. The majority of work is performed outdoors, irrespective of prevailing weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
Compensation & Benefits
Alpine Air offers a highly competitive compensation package for this Full-Time Captain position. First-year pilots can anticipate earning approximately $90,000 annually, leveraging various compensation programs such as rate per route and per diem. Highly experienced and performing Alpine Air pilots may substantially exceed this figure.
