Pilot - West Texas / Southeast New Mexico
American Patrols, Inc. seeks a high-achieving and dedicated Pilot to join its team. This challenging yet rewarding full-time, non-management position involves low-level, VFR flying, building significant flight time and enhancing skills while patrolling the growing oil fields of West Texas and Southeast New Mexico in a Cessna 172. Pilots enjoy a consistent flight schedule, 12 days off per month, and the opportunity to contribute to a vital operation.
Key Responsibilities and Experience:
- Conduct low-level, VFR flight operations.
- Patrol designated areas, primarily over oil fields.
- Maintain a high level of safety and situational awareness.
- Operate proficiently in a Cessna 172.
- Navigate and fly comfortably in high winds and to small runways.
- Exhibit impeccable stick and rudder skills.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 400 hours total flight time.
- Commercial Single-engine Land Pilot certificate.
- Instrument Rating.
- Must be current and proficient in a Cessna 172.
- Previous Commercial Pilot experience is preferred.
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) rating is highly preferred.
- Possess a strong safety-oriented attitude.
- Immediate availability.
Contract and Compensation:
- A fifteen-month contract commitment is required.
- A completion bonus is provided upon successful fulfillment of the contract term.
- Starting pay is $23.00 per hour, which equates to over $30,000 annually based on typical flight hours.
- Health Insurance coverage is provided, with 50% of the employee premium covered by the employer.
