Amentum Air Force Division operates as an integrated partner with the 23d Flying Training Squadron (FTS), the premier USAF helicopter flying training unit at Fort Rucker, Alabama. The Instructor Pilot will deliver academic, simulation, and flight training for contact, instruments, and remote operations within the TH-1H Huey II helicopter program. This critical training program is fundamental to developing the highly skilled vertical-lift aviators who serve in challenging USAF Combat Rescue, Special Operations, and Global Strike missions.
The program boasts an unprecedented safety record, with safety remaining paramount in every aspect of instruction. This essential training initiative is a collaborative effort between the Air Force, the Army, and Amentum, underscoring Amentum's role as a leading multi-service contractor supporting mission-critical Department of Defense assignments.
Employment is contingent upon Government approval and adherence to the terms of a 12-month Employee Training Agreement. Successful candidates will be required to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check. Completion of required training and a government acceptance checkride are mandatory.
