Role Summary

This union-represented position requires individuals who can serve as authentic hosts while managing safety-sensitive responsibilities. Key Duties

  • Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations and verify that all aircraft safety equipment is in operational order.
  • Manage passenger interactions, including greetings, seating assistance, carry-on baggage stowage, and security protocols.
  • Explain and demonstrate the use of emergency and safety equipment.
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcoholic beverages.
  • Market and process sales for onboard products via mobile devices.
  • Resolve passenger situations during flight, including medical emergencies, with professionalism and composure.
  • Provide information regarding flight operations and destination details.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education/Age: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 21 years of age.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.
  • Physical Capabilities: Must meet company grooming, uniform, and appearance standards; must demonstrate the physical ability to perform all flight attendant duties; must meet specific aircraft dimension requirements (e.g., jump seat, harness, aisles).
  • Logistics: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; possess or obtain a valid passport with unlimited access in/out of the U.S. and the ability to fly unrestricted in/out of Canada.
  • Availability: Ability to relocate to designated bases (Seattle, Portland, Medford, Boise, Spokane, Anchorage, or Everett); flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays; willingness to travel extensively.
  • Technology: Basic computer literacy and comfort with mobile technology.
  • Training: Successful completion of four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR is mandatory.
  • Skills: Adaptability, ability to perform effectively under stress, and English language proficiency.

Appearance Standards

Visible tattoos on the face, front of neck, or chest are prohibited. One tattoo per hand (quarter-sized or smaller) is permitted. Tattoos in other areas must not exceed the size of a credit card or be offensive. Tattoos on the back of the neck or behind the ears are permitted only if they remain invisible when looking directly at the individual. Tattoos may only be covered by uniform pieces or approved accessories.
