Flight Attendant

Position Summary

The Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers. This role requires strict adherence to FAA regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor in all in-flight situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in compliance with all FAA regulations and internal safety protocols.
  • Prioritize cabin safety, including conducting safety demonstrations and emergency procedures.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service to meet and exceed passenger expectations.
  • Assist passengers with baggage storage and provide attentive support to travelers requiring additional assistance.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverage offerings.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and the cleanliness of the cabin, galley, and lavatories.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, including medical assistance, CPR, first aid, and evacuation procedures.
  • Complete all required reports and documentation accurately.
  • Operate all galley equipment and in-flight entertainment systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Retrieve and store items in overhead bins up to 67 inches from the floor.
  • Operate and secure aircraft doors weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Push and pull service carts requiring up to 32 lbs. of force.
  • Perform tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, reaching above shoulder height, and lifting up to 75 lbs. (with or without accommodation).

Compensation and Benefits

Contour offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees:

  • Salary: Starting at $34,000.00, increasing to a maximum of $42,500.00, with a retention bonus of up to $2,000.00 per year upon reaching the maximum salary.
  • Insurance: Health, vision, dental, short/long-term disability, and voluntary life insurance effective the first day of the month following the hire date.
  • 401(k) Savings Plan: Matching contribution up to 6% of eligible compensation, effective the first day of the month following the hire date.
  • Paid Time Off: Accrual of up to 56 hours of paid sick leave annually (up to 480-hour bank) and vested vacation hours available effective January 1st following the hire date.
  • Travel Privileges: Non-revenue/space available (NRSA) travel on Contour upon hire and access to MyID Travel after 6 months of active service.
  • Leave: Eligibility for medical, family, maternity/paternity, and personal leave.
