Flight Attendant Job Description

Primary Job Duties

Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers throughout all phases of flight.

Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks; manage onboard liquor and food sales.

Greet passengers, assist with carry-on baggage, and deliver flight announcements.

Provide effective leadership and direction during emergency and non-emergency situations.

Resolve passenger-related concerns, including medical emergencies and disorderly conduct.

Inspect and operate aircraft cabin systems and emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, oxygen systems, and AEDs.

Maintain compliance with safety regulations and performance standards independently.
Minimum Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalency required.

Possess a valid U.S. or foreign passport book (valid for at least 12 months) and all necessary visas for travel between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Proficient English communication skills for safety briefings and technical report writing.

Competency with electronic devices and Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) for training and flight-related systems.

Flexibility to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and work independently.

Commitment to reliability and punctuality.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile (Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or Tucson, AZ).
Physical and Appearance Requirements

Height must be between 5’0” and 6’0” (without shoes) to ensure safe operation of aircraft exits and jump seats.

Physically capable of walking, bending, reaching, and operating aircraft doors/exits (up to 45 lbs).

Capable of pushing/pulling beverage carts weighing up to 250 lbs.

Corrected vision must not exceed 20/40; hearing must be within normal range (15-17kHZ).

Must maintain a professional, neat, and clean appearance according to company guidelines.

Specific policies regarding tattoos, piercings, and hair styles apply.

Must wear company-issued uniforms and compliant face coverings.
Compensation and Benefits
-
Starting pay of $30.32 per flight hour, with a monthly guarantee of 76 flight hours ($2,304.32 gross per month).

Per diem of $2.25 for every hour on duty away from domicile.
