Role Summary

The Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers while delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves maintaining strict adherence to FAA regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure cabin safety, conduct safety demonstrations, and perform public announcements.
  • Respond to in-flight emergencies, including implementing flight deck instructions, guiding evacuations, and providing emergency medical assistance.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service and assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors and elderly travelers.
  • Manage cabin service, including preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages.
  • Complete all required safety and service documentation accurately.
  • Maintain cabin, galley, and lavatory cleanliness.
  • Operate aircraft doors (up to 60 lbs), maneuver service carts (up to 32 lbs of force), and stow luggage in overhead bins (up to 67 inches high).
  • Perform duties requiring frequent walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 23 years.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Documentation: Valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and a valid passport.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel internationally.
  • Communication: Fluency in English is required; bilingual skills are preferred.
  • Availability: Must be able to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with duty periods up to 16 hours.
  • Residency: Must reside within one (1) hour of assigned domicile.
  • Screening Requirements: Successful completion of a 10-year background check, criminal history review, fingerprinting, reference checks, and DOT pre-employment drug screen.
  • Training: Successful completion of the four-week Contour Flight Attendant Initial Training Program.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary: Starting at $34,000.00, progressing to a maximum of $42,500.00.
  • Retention Bonus: Up to $2,000.00 per year upon reaching maximum salary.
  • Insurance: Comprehensive health, vision, and dental, plus disability and voluntary life insurance.
  • Retirement: 401(k) Savings Plan with company match up to 6%.
  • Paid Time Off: Accrual of up to 56 hours of sick leave annually and vested vacation hours.
  • Travel Privileges: Non-revenue/space available (NRSA) travel privileges on Contour Airlines, with access to MyID Travel after six months.
  • Leaves of Absence: Eligibility for medical, family care, maternity/paternity, and personal leave.
