Job Summary

Contour Airlines seeks a dedicated Flight Attendant responsible for ensuring passenger safety, comfort, and well-being while adhering to FAA regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures. This role involves maintaining cabin safety, conducting safety demonstrations, managing in-flight emergencies, and facilitating clear communication between passengers and crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in the aircraft environment in compliance with all FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Prioritize safety and passenger comfort on every flight.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service exceeding passenger expectations.
  • Assist with lifting and stowing luggage, requesting assistance as needed.
  • Provide attentive assistance to passengers requiring additional support.
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations, including implementing flight deck instructions, guiding evacuations, and providing emergency medical assistance.
  • Ensure passenger and aircraft compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.
  • Conduct safety demonstrations, public announcements, and passenger instructions clearly and professionally.
  • Complete required reports, paperwork, and documentation.
  • Retrieve and store items in overhead bins.
  • Operate and secure aircraft doors.
  • Push and pull food and beverage carts.
  • Perform tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Operate galley/cabin service equipment and in-flight entertainment systems.
  • Maintain cabin, galley, and lavatory cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Follow all safety-conscious behaviors in daily operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 23 years.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and valid passport.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel internationally.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must pass: DOT pre-employment drug screen and ongoing random testing, 10-year background check, criminal history review, fingerprinting, and reference checks.
  • Successful completion of Contour’s four-week Flight Attendant Initial Training Program.
  • Ability to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and duty periods up to 16 hours.
  • Must reside within one (1) hour of the assigned domicile.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a polished, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse personalities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to working in a safe, professional manner in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Benefits and Compensation

Compensation:

  • Starting annual salary: $34,000.00.
  • Annual increase to a maximum salary of $42,500.00.
  • Retention bonus: Up to $2,000.00 per year once maximum salary is reached.
