First Officer - Airbus A320 - Fixed-Term Contract
Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's newest airline, is seeking a skilled and experienced A320 Type-rated First Officer to join its team on a fixed-term contract.
Contract Duration:
- 15-month fixed period contract, renewable on mutual agreement.
- Initial 3-month training period followed by 12 months of flying duties.
Key Result Responsibilities:
- Perform as the Pilot Flying or Pilot Monitoring, assisting the Captain in managing flight deck operations.
- Monitor flight progress, efficiency of aircraft systems, and performance of other cockpit crew members.
- Conduct flights in accordance with the airline's Operations Manual and regulations, ensuring the safe and smooth operation of the aircraft.
- Coordinate with the Captain and Dispatch Team prior to each flight to ensure flight and cabin crew are prepared and receive necessary information, including aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather, fuel, weight, and role distribution.
- Carry out assigned pre-flight checks, records, and documentation tasks, including take-off data, fuel requirements, and ATS flight plan.
- Utilize adopted systems and forms for data recording (log book, CFP, etc.), verify calculated data with assumed data, and obtain the Captain's signature accordingly.
- In stations without qualified personnel, check fuel type and supervise aircraft fueling, ensuring proper fuel distribution.
- Alert the Captain of any irregularities or unfavorable variables that may affect safety. Apply necessary actions as instructed by the Captain and assist the crew in responding to safety or security irregularities.
- Undertake additional ground-based tasks, such as Safety Officer or Security Officer, as directed by the Head of Flight Operations and in accordance with the provisions of Part A of the Airline's Operations Manual.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 500 hours of flying experience, with Airbus A320 experience preferred.
- Experience with low-cost airlines is highly desirable.
- Possesses acceptable industry knowledge in aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Must possess knowledge and exposure to handle any other role delegated, such as security or safety-related roles, as required by the airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.
- Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to and affecting Flight Operations.
Salary and Benefits:
Monthly Salary:
- Initial Training: AED 12,853 (equivalent to US$ 3,500) (Net Salary) per month (pro-rated for partial months) plus per diem.
- Post-Training/Final Line Check (up to 60 block hours): AED 20,199 (equivalent to US$ 5,500) per month (Net Salary) plus per diem.
Flying Pay:
- Every block hour above 60 block hours in a month will be paid AED 275 (equivalent to US$ 75).
Per Diem:
- AED 184 (equivalent to US$ 50) per day (on average US$ 1,500 per month), for food and other miscellaneous expenses.
Accommodation:
- The Airline will provide suitable hotel accommodation for the Crew Member during the contract period on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
Transportation:
- Suitable ground transportation will be provided from accommodation to and from airports/office for all rostered flight duties.
Travel:
- Economy class tickets will be provided at the commencement and end of the contract, along with up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance.
- Unlimited standby tickets on Air Arabia group network during the contract period.
- After 6 months, eligibility for MYID travel benefits.
Uniforms and Laundry:
- Uniforms and laundry service will be provided for the duration of the contract.
Roster and Day Off:
- The Airline may roster the crew member for up to the maximum duty time allowed by the respective CAA.
- 30 days of annual leave in one calendar year, which can be divided throughout the year.
- The Airline will strive to schedule as many consecutive days off (above the minimum) as possible.
