Role Summary: Main Objective

The First Officer is fundamentally responsible for ensuring the secure and safe operation of the aircraft during all operational phases. Acting formally as the ‘Second in Command,’ the officer provides critical support and execution under the direct leadership of the Captain or Aircraft Commander during both standard and non-standard flight situations.

Key Responsibilities and Operational Duties

  • Provides continuous operational input and expert assistance to the Captain, ensuring all assigned flights are executed safely and efficiently, maximizing operational effectiveness.
  • Represents the airline as a professional brand ambassador, upholding the highest personal standards of discipline, polished conduct, and appearance while on duty.
  • Demonstrates unwavering responsibility for the duty of care, welfare, and safety of both crew members and valued customers throughout the flight experience.
  • Supports the Commander in overseeing critical pre-flight ground preparations, including appropriate fueling procedures, accurate baggage/cargo loading, and comprehensive aircraft servicing.
  • Ensures meticulous execution of all duties specifically detailed within the organization's comprehensive Operations Manuals and established regulatory procedures.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Possesses a mandatory High School Diploma or equivalent secondary education.
  • Holds a current B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) Type Rating, endorsed and active within the last 24 months.
  • Accumulated a minimum of 1,500 Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) flying hours.
  • A minimum of 500 hours logged specifically on B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) type aircraft is required.
  • Demonstrates complete fluency in English, ensuring effective written and verbal communication.

Information Security Requirements (ISR)

The First Officer must strictly adhere to the Company’s Information Security Risk (ISR) policies and procedures. This mandate includes diligently reporting any security weaknesses or operational incidents promptly to the respective Line Manager or the dedicated Information Security team. Successful completion of all mandated ISR awareness sessions and strict compliance with associated guidelines during all day-to-day business operations is essential.
