Job Overview
The Second In Command (SIC) serves a vital role in flight operations, reporting administratively to the Chief Pilot and operationally to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight assignments. This position is responsible for assisting the PIC in the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, ensuring full compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Conduct safe and efficient domestic flight operations under Part 135 regulations while providing premium customer service.

Adhere to all duties and responsibilities outlined in company procedure manuals.

Maintain a current FAA first-class medical certificate and proactively report any conditions that may impair flight duties.

Demonstrate high-level professionalism, crew coordination, and leadership.

Manage passenger relations, including greeting travelers, assisting with seating, and handling luggage storage.

Conduct comprehensive passenger safety briefings and address specific passenger needs.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support flight operations.

Required Qualifications

Certification:
ATP Complete and a valid FAA First Class Medical certificate.

Flight Time:
Minimum of 2,000 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing) and at least 250 hours of Multi-Engine Time.

Type Rating:
Appropriate Type Rating for the aircraft.

Knowledge:
Working knowledge of FAR Part 135 and thorough understanding of FAA, ICAO, and international flight regulations.

Documentation:
Valid Passport and the ability to obtain/maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to and from Canada.

Authorization:
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and provide two forms of Federal Identification.

Screening:
Must pass a comprehensive background check and comply with FAA-mandated pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
Preferred Qualifications

At least 2,500 hours of Total Time (Fixed Wing).

At least 500 hours of Multi-Engine Time.

Type rated in a Challenger or Regional Jet.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Environmental Exposure:
Routine exposure to loud noises (jet engines), outdoor industrial/hangar environments, and extreme temperatures.

Space Constraints:
Ability to operate within the tight or cramped quarters of a business aircraft interior.

Physical Capabilities:
Ability to see and hear clearly; read, speak, and comprehend English; and perform physical movements including climbing, twisting, bending, stooping, and kneeling.

Stamina:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.

Strength:
Ability to regularly push/pull up to 70 pounds and lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Appearance:
Maintenance of a well-groomed appearance and strict adherence to the department dress code.
Travel Requirements
This position requires 100% travel while on rotation.
