Position Summary and Core Responsibilities
The Pilot is entrusted with the mission of providing a superior air transportation experience, upholding NetJets' continued record of safety on every flight. As the highly visible face of NetJets, the Pilot is responsible not only for technically accurate and safe transportation but also for delivering a seamless, exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger.
Tasks and Essential Duties
- Serves as the final authority on the aircraft with respect to all operational areas, ensuring strict compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft during taxi, take-off, and landing phases of each flight, adhering meticulously to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) Checklists, the Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Acts as the primary liaison for Owners and passengers from their arrival at the FBO until their departure from the final FBO upon landing.
- Greets Owners/passengers pre-flight, provides introductions, briefs them on the specific flight/trip details, verifies itineraries, provides comprehensive weather updates, and conducts thorough safety briefings.
- Must be capable of delivering necessary in-flight service, including the professional handling of alcohol and the service of catering.
- Responsible for loading, properly stowing, and retrieving all baggage on the aircraft as required.
- Must accommodate and safely conduct flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
- Responsible for accurately communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller and must properly complete all associated documentation and paperwork.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements (KSAOs)
Education and Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.

Flight Time Minimum Requirements (IAW 61.160)
Applicants must possess an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating:
- Minimum Age: At least 21 years of age.
- Total Flight Time: 1,500 hours total flight time experience (or 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or specific university R-ATP certificate).
- Cross-Country Time: 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- PIC Time: 250 hours fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
- Night Time: 100 hours of night flying (or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings).
- Instrument Time: 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
- Multi-Engine Time: 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- The ATP written exam must be completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
Operational and Professional Requirements
- Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction is mandatory.
- Must be highly flexible and able to work varying hours, including day and night shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays, readily adjusting to rapid schedule changes.
- Must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage rest to ensure readiness for flight duty at all times during duty periods. Duty may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, spanning multiple time zones and extreme weather differences.
- Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges and pass required Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background screening.
- Must possess a valid State driver's license.
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be service-oriented, present a neat and well-groomed appearance, and demonstrate strong capability to effectively interact with passengers, making a consistently positive impression.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure, and be able to make quick, accurate decisions while maintaining close attention to both technical and passenger-service details.
- Must be physically capable of performing duties, including exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, to move objects.
- Must be prepared to work around animals and conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
