Job Summary
Primary function will be to serve as second in command under an FAA approved SecondinCommand Professional Development Program in both 14 CFR 91 and 14 CFR 135 flights as assigned, primarily within the western United States. This position includes both weekend and holiday work. Must reside within or near Burbank, California.
Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as second in command under the Professional Development Program

Maintain a high level of customer service by responding quickly to customer requests

Inspect aircraft for defects and malfunctions per pre-flight checklists
-
Assist the pilot in command with preflight preparations, load planning, fuel planning, and weight and balance calculations.

Monitor engine operation, fuel consumption, and functioning of aircraft systems during flights

Monitor gauges, warning devices, and control panels to verify aircraft performance and regulate engine speed

Start engines, operate controls, and pilot airplanes to transport passengers, mail, or freight, adhering to flight plans, regulations, and procedures

Conduct post maintenance check flights

Record in logbooks information such as flight times, distances flown, and fuel consumption

Variable schedule requires some weekend and holiday work

Qualifications & Job Requirements

Commercial pilot
(ASEL) with
instrument rating
-
Second-Class
Medical Certificate
-
US Passport
-
PC-12 experience preferred
-
Prior 14 CFR 135 experience preferred

Must be available for weekend and holiday work as assigned

Must reside within or near Burbank, California

Ability to consistently project professionalism in manner and appearance

Must possess polished interpersonal and communication skills
Other Prerequisites

Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge

Valid Driver’s license
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
-
Work is primarily performed outside of an office environment, with moderate noise level, in varying weather and times, as the duties are performed per customer needs, providing twenty-four (24) hour coverage seven (7) days a week. FAA flight duty and rest requirements remain controlling for all flight duty operations.
