Overview
Air Methods is seeking a highly skilled Fixed Wing Pilot to join our EMS air ambulance team operating PC12 (IFR) aircraft. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.

Perform comprehensive pre-flight inspections, including a complete walk-around, to verify airworthiness prior to and upon completion of each flight, documented via the Daily Flight Log.

Exercise final authority regarding the operation of the aircraft and the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.

Maintain thorough familiarity with primary and backup aircraft systems and ensure medical flight teams are properly oriented to the medical interior and systems.

Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Conduct detailed flight planning to exacting standards under varying time constraints.

Participate in company meetings, committees, and community outreach initiatives.

Maintain a 7 days on/7 days off (12-hour shifts) schedule.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following:
-
Experience:
Must have flown in category for a commercial operator or in the military within the previous 24 months.

Flight Requirements:
-
2,500 total flight hours (minimum 2,000 hours in category).

1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in category.
-
500 hours cross-country flight time.
-
500 hours Fixed Wing Turbine time.
-
100 hours night flight time.
-
100 hours actual instrument conditions in category.

Certifications:
Commercial & Instrument Rating (for category and class of aircraft); ATP rating in category is acceptable. Must hold a First or Second Class FAA Medical Certificate.

Education:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with 2-5 years of related experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Physical/Operational Requirements:
Must maintain a weight not to exceed 250 pounds and be under 70 years of age.
