The First Officer for WestJet Encore plays a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient, and memorable travel experiences for guests. Operating state-of-the-art De Havilland Dash 8-400 (Q400) turboprop aircraft, this position requires a highly skilled and professional aviator who upholds the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. As a valued member of the flight crew, the First Officer will embody WestJet's corporate values, act as a brand ambassador, and demonstrate strong leadership qualities within one of Canada's most admired corporate cultures.

WestJet Encore proudly supports a comprehensive Pilot-in-Command Under Supervision (PICUS) program designed to assist First Officers holding a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) in accruing valuable PICUS flight time and experience. Under this program, First Officers may log up to 200 hours in a WestJet Encore aircraft, earning a maximum credit of 100 hours of PICUS towards their Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) requirements, in accordance with CAR 421.11.
