First Officer – Canadian North

Canadian North is seeking dedicated Pilots to join our flight operations team. Position Overview

The First Officer (second-in-command) reports to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and the well-being of all passengers and crew. Pilots at Canadian North enjoy a diverse flight environment, ranging from gravel runway operations to scheduled passenger and cargo services, as well as a robust charter program.

Key Responsibilities

Operate aircraft safely in accordance with Canadian North Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft by strictly adhering to safety policies.
Identify and communicate hazards and risks using the designated safety reporting program.
Maintain professional qualifications and successfully complete the Transport Canada Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC).

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma.
Transport Canada Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).
Successful completion of either valid IATRA or SARON and SAMRA exams.
Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating.
Valid Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate.
Minimum of 750 hours total flight time (or 250 hours total time for graduates of a recognized aviation degree/diploma program).
Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Must possess a current valid passport or Canadian Permanent Resident Card.
Must hold all required visas or travel documents to allow for unrestricted travel.
Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) in accordance with Transport Canada regulations.
Previous experience is not required.
Ability to communicate in Inuktut is considered a definite asset.
