First Officer – Aviation Pilot
Canadian North is seeking dedicated and safety-focused individuals to join our flight operations team. As an essential link for 25 northern communities, our pilots provide vital passenger and cargo services across the Canadian Arctic. Key Responsibilities

Act as second-in-command, reporting to the Chief Pilot, to ensure the safe operation of the aircraft and the safety of all persons on board.

Conduct all flight operations in strict accordance with Canadian North Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Maintain safety standards for passengers, crew, and aircraft by adhering to company safety policies and utilizing safety reporting programs to identify and mitigate hazards.

Maintain required company qualifications and successfully complete Transport Canada Pilot Proficiency Checks (PPC).
Qualifications

High School Diploma.

Total flight time: 750 hours (or 250 hours for graduates of a recognized aviation degree/diploma program).

Transport Canada Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with valid IATRA or SARON and SAMRA exams.

Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating.

Valid Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate.

Legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Valid passport or Canadian Permanent Resident Card.

Possession of all necessary visas or travel documents for unrestricted travel.

Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card.

Proficiency in Inuktut is considered a definite asset.

No previous professional experience required.
