Role Overview
The Aerial Imaging Pilot operates as Pilot in Command (PIC) under Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 91 for specialized aerial imaging missions. This critical role demands meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of flights, alongside maintaining the airworthiness and general upkeep of both the aircraft and integrated camera equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as Pilot in Command (PIC) for all assigned aerial imaging operations, strictly adhering to Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 91 standards.
- Ensures the highest standards of operational readiness, airworthiness, and cleanliness for the aircraft.
- Performs thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks, contributing to the seamless execution of imaging missions.
- Is responsible for the proper handling, maintenance, and general upkeep of both the aircraft and specialized camera equipment.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Possession of a valid Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating.
- Mandatory multi-engine and high-performance aircraft endorsements.
- A minimum of 500 hours of documented Pilot in Command (PIC) flight time.
- At least 100 hours of multi-engine flight experience.
- While specific experience of 25 hours in a Piper Aztec is advantageous, candidates with fewer hours in type are encouraged to apply, as proficiency training will be provided during the initial phase of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates holding a Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate will be given strong preference and heavily considered.
