The Role of a First Officer
The First Officer will serve as a crucial member of the flight crew, combining Part 91 and Part 135 operations based in the Northeast. This position demands a proactive problem-solver, a dedicated brand ambassador, and an individual always prepared to offer assistance. Key Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft safely and efficiently in accordance with all company policies, FAA regulations, and international standards.
- Act as Second-in-Command (SIC) during Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations.
- Ensure the highest standards of iconic, luxury service for all passengers.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic flight environments.
- Represent Vista America as a professional and courteous brand ambassador.
- Collaborate effectively with flight crew and ground support teams.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of aircraft systems and operational procedures.
Pilot Requirements
Candidates for the First Officer position must meet the following stringent qualifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Type rating in Gulfstream G450 is highly preferred.
- Minimum 2,500 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- Minimum 150 hours logged Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) time.
- Minimum 250 hours turbine jet experience.
- Demonstrable experience with Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations.
- At least 150 hours flight time logged within the previous 365 days, with a minimum of 30 hours within the previous 90 days.
- Possession of a current First Class Medical Certificate.
- No record of accidents, incidents, or FAA enforcement actions within the last five years.
- Compliance with ICAO Annex 1-2.1.10 requirements for aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot.
- Authorization to travel to and from all cities and countries served by the Vista Family of Companies.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
