Job Title: UH-60M Instructor Pilot
Overview
The Instructor Pilot provides advanced UH-60M instruction, facilitating Initial Aircrew Training Program (ATP) integration, continuation training, the Initial Aircraft Qualification Course (AQC), and Aircraft Qualification Training (AQT). The incumbent evaluates crewmembers against the US Army Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) and MNG Modernization Training Plan standards. This role involves delivering both academic and hands-on performance training, administering evaluations to ensure aircrew proficiency, and maintaining Individual Aircrew Training Folders (IATF). Instruction is delivered in classrooms, flight training devices, and aircraft, covering contact, basic instrument, night vision goggle, and basic combat skills.
Key Responsibilities

Train and evaluate aviation pilots in the UH-60M aircraft per US Army ATM and unit ATP guidelines.

Support the development and execution of the Aviation Aircrew Training Program.

Ensure all flight training publications remain current and complete.

Conduct individual readiness level progression tasks, including day, night, Night Vision System (NVS), Night Vision Goggle (NVG), and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations.

Prepare crewmembers for realistic mission training, including dust landings and desert environment weather training.

Provide proficiency training in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) in compliance with FAA and ICAO flight rules.

Attend customer meetings and provide mission planning input at weekly scheduling meetings.

Recommend Instructor Pilot and Pilot in Command appointments to customer leadership.

Serve as an ATP mentor within the company and battalion standardization teams, providing support for Master Gunner training and field exercises.

Perform duties at offsite locations as required.

Serve as project lead for program goals, including the technical writing of aviation documents.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (additional education is beneficial).

Previous qualification as a Pilot in Command.

Graduate of the UH-60M Instructor Pilot Course (IPC)/Methods of Instruction (MOI) at an authorized U.S. Army Aviation Proponent School, or an IP equivalency evaluation administered by a DES-selected Standardization Instructor Pilot (SP).

Current qualification on the UH-60M series aircraft.

Minimum of 1,500 total flight hours; minimum of 500 flight hours as an Instructor Pilot.

Valid FAA Commercial Pilot certificate.

FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) status (recommended).

Must successfully pass an FAA Class II Flight Physical upon hire and annually thereafter.
