Job Title: Flight Crew Scheduler Supervisor
The Flight Crew Scheduler Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and assisting with the daily operational functions of crew scheduling and dispatch. This role ensures that all flights are properly crewed and that all regulatory requirements are satisfied prior to departure, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of flight operations.
Essential Functions

Maintain the integrity of the flight schedule and ensure all flight times are accurate.

Serve as the primary point of contact for operational communication regarding scheduling and dispatch.

Supervise scheduling and dispatch departments to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Monitor dispatch cancellations and coordinate necessary follow-up actions.

Manage the performance of crew schedulers and dispatchers, conduct performance-related meetings, and administer disciplinary actions as required.

Track the on-time dispatch performance of flight instructors and students.

Manage lesson cancellations in accordance with established policies.

Guide and assist students in scheduling flight operations and optimizing aircraft utilization.

Perform arrival and end-of-day security inspections.

Coordinate with instructors to ensure student readiness for flight.

Generate and submit required operational reports.

Execute contingency plans for irregular operations, including major cancellations, SWAP events, and delays.

Collaborate with Dispatch and Maintenance departments to resolve operational and instructor/student-related issues.

Maintain a professional demeanor, enforce the Student Code of Conduct, and promote a positive, customer-service-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.

Experience: Two years of scheduling experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversight of Flight Crew Schedulers and Dispatchers.

Certificates/Licenses: None required.
Physical Demands
This position is performed primarily in a professional office or operations control environment. Employees must be able to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, talk, and hear. The role requires close visual acuity for monitoring schedules, reports, and data. The employee must frequently reach with hands and arms, use office equipment, and lift/move up to 10 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours is required.
