Job Title: Flight Crew Scheduler Supervisor
The Flight Crew Scheduler Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of crew scheduling and dispatch. This role ensures that all flight operations are properly crewed and that all regulatory requirements are met prior to departure.
Essential Functions

Maintain the integrity of the flight schedule and ensure flight time accuracy.

Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling and dispatch communications.

Supervise scheduling and dispatch departments to ensure adherence to company policies.

Monitor and follow up on all dispatch cancellations.

Manage the performance of crew schedulers and dispatchers, including conducting performance reviews and disciplinary actions.

Track the on-time dispatch of flight instructors and students.

Manage lesson cancellations in accordance with company policy.

Direct students regarding flight operations and aircraft utilization.

Conduct arrival and end-of-day security inspections.

Coordinate with instructors to ensure student readiness for flights.

Prepare operational reports as required.

Execute contingency plans for irregular operations, including delays and major cancellations.

Liaise with Dispatch and Maintenance departments to resolve operational issues.

Maintain a professional demeanor and enforce the Student Code of Conduct while providing customer-friendly service.

Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Technical expertise in scheduling and flight software (Talon).
Qualifications

Education:
High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.

Experience:
Two years of scheduling experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversight of Flight Crew Schedulers and Dispatchers.
Physical Demands
This role is based in an office or operations control environment. Employees must be able to sit for prolonged periods, stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds (frequently lifting up to 10 pounds). The role requires close visual acuity for data monitoring and the ability to communicate via telephones and headsets. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours is required.
