PSA Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines located in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Curriculum Developer to create and maintain engaging learning solutions for its team members. This full-time position supports organizational development and operational efficiency within the regional aviation sector.

About the Role

The Curriculum Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and updating comprehensive learning materials that align with organizational objectives, team member growth, and operational effectiveness. This role involves partnering with various departments to identify training needs, creating scalable learning content, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices. The position requires the application of instructional design principles and modern learning technologies to produce high-quality training programs, including web-based media and video assets. A key responsibility includes contributing to the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, Multimedia/Digital Media Production, Film/Video Production or a related field.
• Thorough understanding of instructional theories and principles for both online and instructor-led learning.
• Proven experience developing creative and engaging adult learning materials in various formats, including visual and multimedia elements (e.g., training videos, voiceovers, screen recordings, process diagrams, animated videos).
• Experience with photography.
• Demonstrated proficiency in photography and video production, including filming, editing, and post-production using industry-standard tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, or comparable software.
• Knowledge of technical writing, including consistent grammar, spelling, and terminology.
• Ability to produce facilitator/instructor and participant manuals.
• Advanced to intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to be flexible and problem-solve.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with individuals, small groups, and large audiences at all organizational levels.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, Multimedia/Digital Media Production, Film/Video Production.
• Skilled in Articulate Storyline/Rise.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in the Aviation or a similar industry.
• Experience developing skills-based, technical, regulatory, aviation, and safety training for diverse workforces.
• A certificate in instructional technology or other learning disciplines.
• Proficient knowledge of desktop publishing applications, including layout and design.
