Inflight Training Instructor

PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, is seeking a dedicated Inflight Training Instructor to join our team in Charlotte, NC. Position Overview

The Inflight Training Instructor is responsible for delivering FAA-approved Flight Attendant training programs and PSA-specific materials to new hires and current employees. The instructor serves as a subject matter expert and mentor, ensuring that all participants meet the rigorous performance standards required for Inflight Services.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive instructional sessions using effective training methodologies and materials.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Inflight Services policies, procedures, and equipment operations.
  • Mentor and evaluate trainees on performance, behavior, appearance, and professional demeanor.
  • Maintain, inspect, and report on training equipment to ensure it remains in safe, working condition.
  • Conduct periodic line checks and observation flights to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Complete administrative documentation accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Inflight Training department and other internal teams.
  • Uphold the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Flight Attendant.
  • Current FAA Certification.
  • Ability to secure and maintain status as a PSA Airlines Flight Attendant.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of PSA Inflight Policies, procedures, and Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) usage.
  • Previous experience teaching adults in a classroom setting.
  • Status as an Active Check Flight Attendant.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office and training environment. The position is largely sedentary but requires the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. Regular communication and interaction with students are required.
