First Officer
A Fortune Global 500 organization seeks qualified candidates for the position of First Officer. The First Officer will perform Part 121 revenue flying and maintain all FAA required licenses, ratings, and certifications. Flight crews are responsible for the safe, on time, and efficient operation of UPS aircraft.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Part 121 revenue flying.
- Maintain all FAA required licenses, ratings, and certifications.
- Ensure the safe, on-time, and efficient operation of UPS aircraft.
Required Qualifications:
- Current unrestricted ATP certificate with an Airplane category multi-engine class rating and English proficiency endorsement.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship is not available).
- Valid passport and documentation allowing for entry into the United States after an International flight.
- Minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing pilot time.
- Minimum of 1000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) hours in fixed-wing jet and/or fixed-wing multi-engine turboprop per 14 CFR 1.1.
- Military candidates may add a plus (.3) per sortie factor to flight time.
- Pilot in Command, per 14 CFR 1.1, means the person who:
- Has final authority and responsibility for the operation and safety of the flight.
- Has been designated as the pilot in command before or during the flight.
- Holds the appropriate category, class, and type rating, if appropriate, for the conduct of the flight.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Recent and type of experience will be considered; preference given to candidates with demonstrated flight experience in transport category aircraft within the last 12 months from date of application.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, including those who may hold divergent views.
- Ability to communicate orally within a cockpit environment to clearly convey procedures, conversation, and radio transmissions.
- Capability of decision making under stress.
- Ability to adapt to diversified flight schedules, situations, or scenarios.
Additional Information:
As part of the UPS pre-employment process for a safety sensitive position, a drug screen is required. UPS must receive a negative test result before a candidate can be placed into a safety sensitive position (14 CFR Part 120.107). Candidates will be tested in accordance with 14 CFR Part 120.109(a)(5) and 14 CFR 120 Subpart E to determine the presence of marijuana, cocaine, opiates (including codeine, heroin-6AM, morphine), opioids- hydrocodone, hydromorphone, oxycodone & oxymorphone, phencyclidine (PCP), and amphetamines/methamphetamines (including MDMA, MDA) or metabolites of these drugs.
