Phenom 300 Captain (PIC)
This position reports directly to the Chief Pilot. The Phenom 300 Captain, serving as Pilot-in-Command (PIC), holds ultimate responsibility for the safe and compliant operation of the aircraft. This includes ensuring adherence to all applicable FAA regulations, the Company Flight Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Letters of Authorization (LOAs), and Flight Manuals.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts all aircraft operations and related duties in strict accordance with the General Operations Manual and Company Manuals.
- Ensures the meticulous and timely completion of all flight, aircraft, and passenger records.
- Supervises fellow crewmembers to ensure the effective performance of their assigned duties.
- Maintains strict compliance with flight/duty time limitations and mandatory rest periods, adhering to established policies.
- Completes initial or recurrent training phases within the preceding 12 months.
- Reviews the Flight/Maintenance Log (Form MF-9/MR-10, or MR-9/MR-10 as applicable) to confirm aircraft airworthiness, and collaborates with maintenance personnel to address any required maintenance.
- Ensures the thorough pre-flight, post-flight, and routine servicing of the aircraft, following established company guidelines.
- Coordinates all client requests for itinerary adjustments with the Operations Control Center.
- Performs the duties of both Ground and In-flight Security Coordinators, complying with 40 CFR 1544.215(b-c).
- Verifies that all required manuals, charts, and equipment are current and readily available on board the aircraft.
- Confirms that all crewmembers and passengers possess the necessary valid passports, immunizations, visas, and clearances for customs, immunizations and agricultural inspections.
- Ensures that international arrivals and departures are conducted in strict accordance with all applicable regulations.
- Exercises operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations, ensuring that no unauthorized personnel manipulate aircraft controls.
- Proactively identifies, anticipates, and addresses any potential delays due to scheduling, crew legality, or maintenance issues.
- Recommends process and communication enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Maintains the strictest confidentiality in all matters concerning client aircraft operations, as well as when dealing with sensitive or security-related issues.
- Performs all other TransMedics tasks and duties as required.
Background and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time required.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time required.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, iOS, and various internet-based programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements:
- Must hold an EMB-505 Type Rating.
- Must possess an ATP Certificate.
- Must maintain a current First Class Medical Certificate and have a clean record.
- Must hold a valid and unrestricted passport.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
