Role Summary
Top Aces is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to ensure the airworthiness and dispatch readiness of its diverse fleet at all times. This critical role contributes directly to the company's mission of providing innovative and reliable defense training solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Verifying that all replacement parts are thoroughly inspected, eligible, and properly certified prior to installation.
- Ensuring removed parts are correctly tagged and routed for quarantine.
- Confirming all work accomplished on any aircraft or component strictly adheres to the applicable manufacturer’s recommended standards, Canadian Aviation Regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Signing for the accomplishment of personal work on relevant work forms and records, and reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assisting in the On-the-Job Training (OJT) and instruction of fellow personnel.
- Performing Independent Checks when authorized, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Carrying out Receiving Inspections when authorized, as per company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining the validity of all personal training certifications.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensuring continuous compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a valid Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license in a recognized discipline, complemented by appropriate experience and aircraft type courses.
- A minimum of two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated experience with commercial or military aircraft.
- Experience in Line Maintenance within a fast-paced environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level II Clearance with the Canadian Government and access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
