Position Summary
Top Aces is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join its expert team. The AME plays a critical role in ensuring that all aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of airworthiness and are in a constant state of dispatch readiness, thereby directly supporting vital military readiness training operations globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures that all replacement parts are thoroughly inspected, verified for eligibility, and properly certified prior to installation.
- Manages the proper tagging and routing of removed parts to quarantine areas for appropriate handling.
- Verifies that all maintenance work accomplished on any aircraft or component strictly complies with:
- Applicable manufacturer’s recommended standards;
- Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs);
- Company Policies and Procedures.
- Responsible for signing off on completed work on relevant forms and records, and meticulously reviewing documentation to ensure entries adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Assists in the On-the-Job Training (OJT) and instruction of fellow maintenance personnel.
- Conducts Independent Checks when authorized, strictly in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Performs Receiving Inspections when authorized, as per company policies and procedures, ensuring material integrity.
- Ensures that all personal related training certifications remain valid and current at all times.
- Executes additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
- Maintains rigorous compliance with all company policies and procedures, upholding safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Holds a valid Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license in a recognized discipline, complemented by appropriate experience and aircraft type courses.
- Possesses a minimum of two (2) years of relevant aviation maintenance experience.
- Demonstrates practical experience working on commercial or military aircraft platforms.
- Experience in Line Maintenance within a fast-paced operational environment is highly preferred.
- The position requires Level II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
