Entry Level Pilot - Captain Development Program
SkyCare is seeking motivated individuals for the Captain Development Program. This structured career pathway is designed to transition entry-level pilots into turbine Captain roles. The program begins with a ground-based operational phase, allowing pilots to build essential operational knowledge, professionalism, and situational awareness.
Program Overview
The Captain Development Program offers a clear trajectory from ground operations to the Navajo First Officer seat, progressing toward a left-seat position on the Metro aircraft. Advancement is contingent upon performance, successful training completion, and demonstrated operational readiness. By joining SkyCare, pilots contribute to mission-critical operations, including medevac flights, time-critical cargo transport, and specialized charter operations throughout North America and the Caribbean.
Ground-Based Operational Roles
Operations Coordinator (Based in Sioux Lookout, ON)

Support the SOCC Coordinator and Flight Follower team.

Manage customer quoting, cargo receiving, and customs documentation.

Oversee flight following, coordination, and real-time customer requests.

Utilize flight information systems to ensure organized, timely operations.
Aircraft Groomer (Based in Sioux Lookout, ON; Thunder Bay, ON; Kitchener-Waterloo, ON; or St. Andrews, MB)

Perform aircraft grooming, detailing, and fueling.

Load and unload cargo and baggage.

Operate ground support equipment and perform aircraft towing.

Maintain hangar, office, vehicle, and facility standards.

Assist with commissary duties and general customer service.
Qualifications and Requirements

Transport Canada (TC) Commercial Pilot License (CPL).

TC Group 1 Multi-Engine IFR rating.

Valid Class 1 Medical certificate.

Minimum of 250 hours total time (TT).

Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Ability to provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance (dated within the last 30 days).

Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
