Job Title: Training System Specialist (TSS) – Pilot
Overview
CAE is seeking a dedicated Training System Specialist (TSS) - Pilot to join the Training Centre Operations team. This role is pivotal in supporting the next generation of Royal Canadian Air Force technicians. Reporting to the CAE CFO Manager Training Support Group, the successful candidate will work in close collaboration with Training System Specialists and the Department of National Defence (DND) to update courseware and conduct essential testing and validation of simulator software configurations.
Key Responsibilities

Provide linkage between training tasks/teaching points and functional technical requirements for devices and courseware.

Utilize aircraft documentation to provide engineering support to software developers during project integration activities.

Develop courseware support deliverables, including training plans, Computer Generated Forces (CGF) mission scenarios, and lesson plan scripts.

Act as the primary daily liaison with 426 Squadron Tactical Flight Instructors to achieve and maintain training solutions.

Plan, conduct, and monitor the testing and inspection of Device Based Lessons (DBLs) and Computer Based Training (CBT) modules.

Validate Synthetic Training Devices, including Full Flight Simulators, Flight Training Devices, and Computer Aided Training devices, to ensure compliance with design, training, and regulatory standards.

Support customer acceptance and device qualification activities, including the identification and management of simulator deficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications

Previously trained CC130J Pilot.

Minimum of 600 hours of flying experience as an Aircraft Commander in a CC130J/E/H aircraft, with proof of hours provided in a CF1281 Logbook.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Detail-oriented approach with superior interpersonal and communication skills.

Familiarity with quality standards, training plans, and training media.

Eligibility to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid Work Permit).

Ability to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance and a Government of Canada security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications

CC130E/C130H Pilot experience.

Multi-engine/glass cockpit experience.

Base Pay Range: $104,700 CAD – $154,700 CAD (final compensation determined by experience, skill, location, and internal equity).
